FIS Ski Race in Selva: good or bad?

Hi all, I've just discovered that there is a Super G and Downhill race planned for the week I am in Selva (assuming no further changes to the race calendar).

This sounds massively exciting in one sense but the drawback is there will be a number of runs closed, some requiring a ticket of some sort (in addition to a skipass?)....does anyone know these runs? Is this a disaster? I can't seem to make head nor tail of it all

    All advice most welcome

Not enough to effect your skiing. You will only need a ticket for the finish area and the stands. You can stand at spots along the course for free!!

Enjoy it is a real eye opener to see a FIS world cup up close with the speed the turns and the terrain.

Also brings a great buzz to a resort and most of the athletes are very accessible and friendly after the races.

Think of it as a bonus and the inconvenience will only be for 2/3 days

Considering there is 1000km plus to ski on the dolomites pass it won't matter very much. Only Saslong piste will be shut I reckon. I think they have slalom over at Alta Badia also. What would be 'fun' would be skiing the piste the day after racing when nets are still up, have done this at Kitz for sections of the course and makes you realise how hard it is, not that I thought it was easy. Feels like a vertical ice skating rink.
