You Tube and Gmail.

    I have noticed with Gmail that when I am using it I cant use my You Tube account at the same time and vice versa.

    Why is this and how can I use the two at the same time without having to sign out of one to use the other. I really have no intention of connecting accounts.

    Gmail and YouTube or both Google accounts. You may as well connect them. Are you using different log ins to access both. You could use two different browsers and have both open that way.

    I don't like it but finally succumbed to connecting the 2 accounts.

    We're now nearly at the stage where they will force mobile phone numbers to be connected with gmail. I just tried to sign in and the 'provide mobile' notice came up. Reason, suspicous log in attempt. Now they are taking us for fools. I hit the close button instead.....so it changed its mind and let me in.
    What if you don't have a moblie phone. Its all just big brother stuff. it annoys me no end.

    They're owned by the same company so a common login makes sense.

    I use both Youtube and Gmail on Chrome, with the same account address there wouldn't be any problems with it.

    It would be a great convenience for you!

    Also both Youtube and Gmail are free. You can create videos and you may paid for it too.

    Another great convenience!

    There isn't one?

    If you don't wish to link accounts you have the choice of having multiple sign in in a single browser (depends on which tools you're using, but for Gmail and YouTube it's fine), use separate browsers for the two accounts or use incognito/private browsing windows to allow it.
