Santa is bringing a Wii for Xmas.
Son aged 6 has requested same. (Daughter is 4)

I haven't a CLUE what to get. Went to Dixons today and got zero assistance there.

Any suggestions re console? Accessories? Games.

    A BIG thanks.

With Mario you can't go wrong.

Check for bundles, but don't be fooled if they add Ron of accessories packs, which look like a good deal, but in reality cost pennies and are low quality crap.

Get a bundle which would have an extra controller and nunchack to it. Maybe motion plusx2.

Get Mario games and you will be sorted

As said, any Mario games and you can't go wrong. And look for bundles, some good offers around which include an extra controller and Nunchuck.

My son is 6 and loves MArio Kart. Very easy to pic up and play so you could get a second wheel for under a tenner for his sister too.

LEGO games are really good too, he might need a bit of help with soem bits though.

Get another Wiimote so they can play together, or better yet, 3 more wiimotes if the parents want to join in.

You just have to be careful as Mario is like crack for children.

the more remotes in the package the better.

Mario Kart is definitely a title you should get for your children. It is great fun.

Donkey Kong Country Returns is something the kids can get miles out of on mutliplayer, and beneath the bonnet, a teeth-gnashing, hardcore experience for those who recall the times when games made you want to eat your face.
