A few questions about Post-Grad Grant

Hi, I have a few questions I was hoping someone could help me with. I'm dealing with Waterford VEC if that makes any difference!?

    1. I got a grant last year for the first time when I was in 4th year which was roughly €1500 but I'm currently doing a taught Masters and I've just received a letter today saying my grant would be around €1000. Broadly speaking I think I earned a bit less in the last year (2010) than in the year before (2009) so I was wondering have the threshold levels been downgraded since last year?

    2. As last year was the first year I ever got a grant I'm still not familiar with the process. Are the tuition fees paid by the VEC? All it says on the letter is what the maximum fees are but not if I was awarded them. I think it used to be the case that if you got a grant it meant your fees were paid too?

    Thanks!

Anyway just to follow up, I went to the college today and asked gave them the letter I got. They said that my fees were paid by the VEC, which was the main thing I was worried about. So Happy Days! :D
