good afternoon people.i have posted under some threads but no reply yet so i hope someone can help.i am going to Dublin business school in September to start a psychology degree which is 5200 per year.i have sent my grant form off i am just wondering if anyone knows how they operate like will they only give me half the 5200 per year and i have to make the balance myself? do they pay in weekly monthly installments or as a lump? will i even receive a grant.i know each individual is different but i need to know roughly in case i am wasting my time.also if they only give me 50per cent of fee for instance what do i do then. i am currently on social welfare so will back to school allowance cover much of the balance? ? thanks in advance

It all depends on your own personal circumstances/income etc, so it's impossible to tell what you'll receive. As well as that, the various County Councils/VECs have different payment methods (some by cheque, some into your bank, some monthly, some as 3 lump sums) so the only people who'd be able to answer your query exactly would be the body you applied to.

If it's a private college, I don't believe they cover the fees, but I'm unsure on that. Better to give the relevant office a call to ask all those questions and get a straight answer.

Firstly from 2012/2013 ALL Grants will be administered by CDVEC

    Secondly

Only colleges approved by the Dept will be eligible for grants - DBS is not on that list

I think the OP should consider applying to a publicly funded college

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
