Copy between memory cards (directly - not via phone memory)

I can't see where that device can hold two microSD cards simultaneously and even if it did I'm not sure it's technically possible to copy between two storage devices without buffering the data in memory so I would imagine the answer is no (obviously you can copy data between them via a PC but this would not be a mobile solution).

I actually wanted to copy between a CF and a micro SD (or even an SD).

The description says it can be done directly between cards - which is why I was interested in this particular card reader (as most others don't seem to have this capability). Says you can do it on Windows and Mac - just wondering if it would work with the phone. Can't see why not - except maybe for power requirements.

I might just buy it anyway - as it looks like a neat little reader to have.

Ah, OK, I thought you were trying to do with without the phone or PC present at all. I guess if the phone recognises both storage devices mounted at once it could copy from one to the other. It would still use the phone's internal memory to buffer the data but you'd have only one copy operation rather than two.

I can copy from one USB key to another via my tablet for example (two USB ports) if that's any indicator.

OK - phone might not have enough power for the card holder + 2 cards - even if the tablet does.

But, think I'll give it a try.
