Long time lurker, first time poster. What tools do I need to change cables on a racer?

D'oh! OP, when buying cable cutters be sure to read the reviews of the product. Some of them will make a mess of the cable housing ends.

Thanks lads. I see prices from 15 to 50 quid for the cutters, are all the same? Do you have any recommendations for cables? What about the shiny bits at the end? Do they come with the cables?

If by any chance you're in Kilkenny or Carlow I have a spare one.
