usually my mother tells me what she wants for Christmas and we're done. This year she has announced that i need to get her a surprise. She hates reading so a Kindle like mine is out, barely uses a computer and is in her 60's Also she hates the whole spa experience. Please help.

What does your Mom like to do? Or maybe there's something she hates to do and you could hire someone to do it for her? Gift certs are nice. Music ?

My mam surprised me by saying she wanted a "Brendan Grace" dvd. She's 66. I usually buy her Clinique or Dior moisturiser or her perfume. This year she says she still has plenty left. I thought a silk scarf might be nice also, my brother may get her that. After a hairdo most mature women like to keep it place with a silk scarf. Also Silk pillow cases are all the rage this year I believe, seriously :)

I'm stuck for something for my parents this year so I was going to get one of their wedding photo's blown up and framed, they don't really have any of them on display in the house.

Something to consider and I'm sure it would be a surprise for her!

Actually, that reminds me of a good present my sister got my mother one year. She found an old photograph of my mother, probably in her late teens. It was just her sitting there looking so beautiful. The photo was a bit battered / crumpled so she took it somewhere where they retouched the photo, blew it up and framed it.

It looked amazing and I'm sure if you could unearth and old photo of her she would love it.
