Boffer sack of crap is back, extra 4 items for twitter users.
Its like a lucky bag for adults, in other words the anticipation is the best bit and you may end up extremely disappointed like circa 1986 when you;d get a giant duran duran poster :o

Cue: torrent of boffer haters saying never again, worst company ever yadayadayada

    I don't get it!

Is it really a bag full of broken odds and ends they found on the floor throughout the year?

Im oddly tempted though... To see what kind of crap they have... :o

Jesus thats cat lol - my buddy in cork got the dvds, somekind of sat receiver, couple of memory cards, and a bunch of mobile accessories in his. It must have been the 'no dogs, no irish' brigade packing your box.

[edit]Just looking at the boffer forum:

"Ordered. Last time I did one of these was the Secret Santa sell off. Ended up with digital bathroom scales. Trouble is every time I get on they say one at a time!!!!" :-D

+1 Total rip-off trying to rock a so-bad-it's-good-vibe. Lots of examples here on what people got and why Boffer hasn't been mentioned much since in Bargain Alerts.
To be fair they accepted packages had been interfered with and replaced them but it was still rubbish. They did some good deals on TVs etc but the BOC was a con.

A tenner for a box of empty boxes... Bwhahahahaaaa. Tears running over my face. Fun part is, that I work with your man in the video every day, a blessing.

I'll chip in to get him to do another box ;)

Got two of these in the past, 2008 or so

first one: enough CD-Rs that I only ran out a few weeks ago, DVD-Rs, a cheap mp3 player (died shortly)
second one: a firewire card (which I have had use for), a flask, an ipod microphone (don't have an iPod)

however it looks as if the quality has collapsed... however, I risked it.

Right, at least now I know what to do directly after the budget. I'm watching that video over and over again. Will deffo cheer me up at that stage.

Without fail one of the funniest things I've ever seen in my life.

Jesus that video deserves to go viral on youtube. Fooking awesome comic timing.

here, what's with the empty f*cking boxes.

    Vibe666 = Christy Moore :D
it's not actually me in front of the camera, i'm the slightly disappointed (but trying to remain upbeat in the face of adversity) voice behind the camera. :)

    he's a total legend though. :D

I was tempted but there is an extra £5 charge for Irish delivery so I think it came in at €30 or thereabouts in total.

Not worth it for some of the pure sh1te I saw in the vids on youtube.

I did do the ibood box which is the same idea months back and got a reasonable amount of decent stuff from that (walkie talkies, a kettle, laptop mouse and other stuff)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,016 ✭✭✭✭vibe666

looking back at the comment i posted with the vid, it looks like the £5 surcharge for an Irish purchase was on the offer when i got mine too.

it was definitely as advertised anyway, i got a proper bag of crap.

reading my original youtube comment, i tried to use 12 of those blank dvd's and 10 of them were too scratched to even complete burning.

there was also mention of BOC tampering by the courier company by several Irish buyers on the forums, but i'm pretty sure nothing ever came of it.
