Positioning inline extrator fan

    The inline extractor fan I purchased, according to the instructions, needs to be positioned similar to the pictured attached. However, I have extremely thick insulation laid on the attic floor. Can the fan be attached to one of the roof trusses instead or will this affect the air flow when the fan is on?
