Play.com Order hasn't arrived - Claim Form

I've gotten the claim form emailed to me that I'm supposed to print out and post back to Play to get my refund for an item that didn't arrive. My only question is whether here in Ireland sending an envelope with the address they gave on it will actually get to their Jersey offices. This is the address...

    Play.com Claims Dept.
    PO Box 167
    St Ives
    Freepost RSSE-HHRH-SKBH
    PE27 9BY

Will writing that and simply writing freepost where the stamp should be be enough?

Stick a stamp on if you've any doubt. It's only 55c

55c good enough to go to Jersey?

Oh yeah, you might need the higher value one, 86c or whatever it is for the UK. Either way it's still cheap enough for a bit of piece of mind.

Is there no way to email it?

Why didn't they send you a replacement ?

I've had a few things lost/didn't arrive from Play.com - They make you wait 3 weeks then send another. I've never had to claim from them.

Okay, so I sent the form to the address in my original post. A week later no response so I emailed them and they said they hadn't received it at all. I explained it costs me to send something to them from Ireland as the freepost would only work when posting from the UK. I sent them a scanned claim form fully filled out but they are not accepting it. I'm thinking that the stamp I bought (82c stamp) might not cover the postage or maybe it just unluckily got lost in the post.

My question really is.....is this address written on an envelope with a UK stamp and an airmail stamp sufficient to reach its destination or are Play perhaps fobbing me off???

    Play.com Claims Dept.
    PO Box 167
    St Ives
    Freepost RSSE-HHRH-SKBH
    PE27 9BY

Also, can anyone link me to this address on Google maps? Can't seem to locate it myself.

    Thanks!

PO boxes are just a box at the central post office (in this case St. Ives) so you won't find it on a map. It's not an address as such

So Play.com would have to go to that box and collect their mail? Why don't they just have it sent to their offices?!?!

Because then you'll be able to find out where they are....!!!

It's a common thing for businesses worldwide just to use PO boxes. I don't know if they have to pick their mail up or whether there's an agreement that the postie takes everything from their box and brings it to them. I wouldn't get paranoid about them using a PO box. As I said, it's quite common

A week wouldn't be unusual for them not have received it yet, allow 2 weeks at a minimum. Even then, it could be received, but not processed on their returns system yet. This could take days or weeks, depending on how inept they are.

You're going to have to wait one way or the other.

If they continue to ignore you after another 2 weeks, then claim through your credit card for non receipt of goods.

I also haven't received several items & got the same form sent to me, only I have no idea where St Ives is! Could someone please be so kind as to tell me where St Ives is? I tried google and it only confused me more; I'm sending this from Iceland, and putting St Ives on an envelope seems a sure way for it to get lost. Thanks in advance.

The postcode bit "PE27 9BY" is enough for Royal Mail to find the correct destination. The UK postal system allocates unique post codes to everyone.

A quick google search tells me it's in Cambridgeshire, England.
