What wheels are these?

I've seen these wheels on a couple of different bike builds on websites, but I cannot identify them. Anyone out there recognise them? I think that they're Mavic Cosmic, but I don't know if they're just regular black or if these are the carbon variety, in which case they're serious money.

I would guess they're the Carbone SLR.

The Exalith rim coating makes them look like full carbon, but they're a conventional alloy rim/carbon fairing design, claimed weight just under 1600g.

Nope, the CCUs have a different spoke entry into the rim, and are shallower (40mm vs 52mm).

Maybe, but they look the bloody same! :D

I have heard that they are not very serviceable when a spoke goes. According to one mechanic which I know anyway.

Those are expensive. Waaaayyyyy beyond my budget (and austerity measures from the missus).

You obviously haven't spent enough time staring at deep section wheels. :pac:

I like the new rim coating. It makes them look less Freddy.

I hate black rims with a silver braking surface, especially on track bikes!
