I have just read a review of Professor Layton And The Spectre's Call, it has informed me that there is missing content in the European release, compared to the US release.

A role playing section of the game called London Life has been omitted from the European release because ....
it would take too long to translate
    My queries are .......
    • Has anyone here imported the game?
    • Is the London Life mini-game any good?
    • Is it worth importing the game for the extra content?

You can import it if you want (DS games are still region free).

Here is a discussion on GameFAQs about whether it's worth getting.

Thanks for the reply Mr E. That discussion reinforces what was said in the review that i read
word from those that have (played the game,) seems to be decidedly mixed
I have decided not to import the game, based solely on this comment from the gamefaqs.com discussion
I just saw American Luke on some US Layton clips on YT and I could barely stand it.

I'll be getting the US version. I heard London Life is a pretty significant chunk of content.

Does it have any DSi enhanced content? Some DS carts *are* region locked when played on a DSi or 3DS. /looks forlornly at his japanese Pokemon Black and tries to silence the cries of all the little pokeymans trapped inside it

I got it from America a couple of weeks ago. It plays exactly the same and has all the content the only downfall is the voice acting is kinda American for Luke and one or two others which gets annoying after a while.

I wouldn't worry about the voices though as it doesn't take from the game at all.
