It really depends what you want..

I love the Blue Ocean Chinese - always nice
The bar food in the Firgrove is good
The Hunters Rest is good old fashioned cooking at a reasonable price
There is a new place in the square - haven't been there yet.

Lots of choice - what sort of food does she like?

Hunters very good. At lunch time good plain food, but at night much more up-market, but equally good.
Good Indian too, service can be very slow there.
Callaghans very nice, but not open at night - little expensive though - good treat though.
Not a fan of Firgrove, but only had lunch there.
Anyone ever recommended places to, Hunters usually favourite.

There's a new italian up at the top of the square called Galileo Cafe and you can bring your own wine. Thought the service was bad though, somebody ordered coffee. That was probably a once off though.

The Hunters Rest. Great place for home made food and decent enough prices. :)
