Yet another NCT Question.

:confused:I bought a 2002 Audi A6 from a reputable dealer. The NCT had been out on it for nearly 2 years, so he got it NCT'd for me and it passed on 26-10-2011. So now even hough it was tested so near to to its due test date of 06-02-2012, I am still going to have to get it retested on its due test date.

Is this correct, or is there some way I can get the test that was done last month extended by two years?

    Am I making sense?

NCT cert only goes to when it was due, unfortunatly. Lucky for you, if it just passed, you can do it again 90 days previous to its next due date. Which is next week or thereabouts. Get the dealer to pay it again, or at least agree to fix any problems that may have turned up.

Generally speaking if they waited until 6th of November 2011 (just over 10 days from 26.10.2011) you would get a cert valid until 06-02-2013, so there was barely any point doing it on 26th.

You have to do it now, and it will be valid as well until 06-02-2013.

Also make sure you are getting the full test result printout from the tests and not just the page that the disc in on.

I did not know this. But it is interesting to note.
    Thanks.
