    Hi,

Can anyone tell me is there a difference between the IMAX screens at the Odeon Belfast or the BFI IMAX in London?

I went to the BFI IMAX before to see Avatar and it was great. I'm just wondering if the Belfast IMAX has the same screen. It is my understanding that not all IMAX screens are equal.

I couldn't tell you for sure, but there is definitely a difference. I've been to the BFI IMAX also, it's the biggest in the UK apparently and by the sounds of it, the others, specifically the Odeon ones pale in comparison to BFI. From the BFI IMAX wiki page:

"London has another traditional IMAX cinema at the Science Museum in South Kensington/Albertopolis and in December 2008 gained IMAX digital cinemas at Odeon cinemas in Greenwich and Wimbledon. The BFI IMAX is still the biggest cinema screen in Britain (it is 540m²; the Science Museum IMAX is 408m², while the two Odeon IMAX screens are each just 120m²)"

With those dimensions it seems like Odeon screens are almost like regular screens but slightly bigger when compared to BFI.

I guess I will head over to London for The Dark Knight Rises rather than head to Belfast.
