heres the problem ive changed several clutch kits in trucks (pressure plate, clutch plate, release bearing)
when i remove the gearbox i would disconnect the clutch booster from the four bolts not the fluid pipe but in this case i had to remove the fluid pipe to replace the clutch booster so put clutch kit in mounted gearbox mounted new clutch booster connected fluid pipe and as i was expecting nothing at the clutch pedal so got a windscreen reservior with pump still on it out of a nissan micra drained the reservior on the truck and pumped new clutch fluid from the boosters bleed nipple rite up to the reservior on the truck until it was max.
i was told this is the way you do it not pump the pedal as you would do in a car.
so now the pedal was i tiny bit better but wasn't good enough to let out on the road as you wouldnt be able to get gears
is everyone still with me ???
maybe the little 12v pump isnt strong eneogh i dont know anyone have any advice ???

I would have thought you would have pumped the pedal like a car. We changed one in a Hino recently including and i am nearly sure I pumped the pedal. I will find out more tomorrow. Slidey is the man that knows here...

If a mod can shift this over to the the 4x4, trucks etc forum, Slidey is more likely to see it.

This the 16 speed box with the booster at the bottom held with 4 m8 bolts and a pull clutch?

If it is a pull clutch is the bearing definitely snapped into the pressure plate and is the fork on the inside of the bearing?

Generally the only way you will get these bled is up the way. You need to have someone watch the reservoir and don't stop until the bubbles stop coming. Even if it means it is overflowing.

Make sure the air is up too when doing it.

If it is the 12 speed box that has the booster held in place with 2 clevis pins you may have to move the clutch arm on the splines or adjust it at the nut.

Volvo problems? John Keogh. end of story. Knows them inside out, stocks only genuine spec parts at spurious prices.

Have dealt with him (them) as both a supplier and a customer.

    Genuine, honourable guys
