To hop or not to hop

I've just ordered a starter equipment kit and a Coopers Australian Pale ale kit...
I've been reading up here and on Beoir.org and am wondering would it be a safer bet to just brew the kit and the bits and pieces with it( coopers brew enhancer 2) or go mad and dry hop after a while...I'm drinking a lot of IPA and other pale ales at the moment and would love to be able to recreate the fruity taste of Helvic Gold or Fullers IPA but I really am only getting more confused the more I read.....anyone got any pearls of wisdom to share...?

Go for it. If that's the style you like then it makes sense. 30g in a muslin bag (which has been boiled to sanitise) will give a great aroma.

Definitely go for it if you like hoppy tastes. The kits only use hop extract which isn't as flavoursome. Plus if you start using hops now and freezing the leftovers you'll have more varieties available if (when!) you move onto extract and all-grain brewing.
