    Hello
I have a bush tv with in built free view tuner which can pick up the saor view channels no problem. I am about to install the outdoor digital aerial outside on the wall. I will have a cable running from outside wall through the attic down to the kids tv. Thats grand. I was thinking of getting anoither similar tv with the saorview built in , my query is can I split this cable and run it to a new tv without causing a problem.

The other thing is that if i get a new tv , it will replace the one i have in my bedroom which presently has sky on it , I will be reconnecting that cable back to the co axiale input on the tv so i can watch sky again , but where will i put the cable i split?

I have no access to the sky boxes as there are in the attic.

    Thks
    Minder:)

If the Saorview signal delivered by your aerial is strong enough you can use a passive splitter like this one. If this is not the case, you'll need some kind of amplification.

The aerial feed intended for combining with the Skybox feed can be connected to the Skybox RF in socket.

Thks very much that's great will get that spliter. Just re rf ... In the attic the 2 sky boxes are linked together from the rf2 outputs on each box to a splitter and into a 4 way amplifier and to 4 tvs. One box is a freeview other subscription .... Are they the rf outputs on the boxes you refer to? many thanks

I would connect the cable from the aerial to one of the Skybox RF ins & get a distribution amp with more outputs so all tvs can be connected.

The Skyboxes can also be linked by 'daisy chaining' with the RF-out of the 1st box going into the RF-in of the 2nd & so to the distribution amp.

Also make sure the UHF channels used for the Skybox output don't clash with the Saorview channel(s).
