Live in caretakers - reduced rent

I heard them talking about being a live in caretaker of unused buildings in return for reduced rent. I was wondering if anyone knew of this, what companies are offering this? My rent is actually pretty cheap, but I'm pretty broke so I'd love to reduce it further and try save a little.

i have only heard of one company that does this here called camelot, they say they have around 100 guardians around ireland but its a european company
there is a thread somewhere here already about them,
