Help choosing between 2 HP laptops please

Time to get a new laptop and am stuck between these 2. They are both HP's from Argos and normally I would have gone with the one with I3 processor but am confused as to why the other laptop is dearer.

So I am looking from advice from someone who knows more about me in these matters (wouldn't be hard ) as to which one is better:

IF I HAD to choose between them I would take the i3 too.

But your much better off shopping online as you will get much more for your hard earned money.

The first one has better processor and because of it would be the clear winner for me

The reason I am opting to buy from Argos is that I get a further 10% discount (mother works in Homebase, entitled to staff discount).

The B940 is a newer CPU (Sandy Bridge). That i3 is an older Clarkdale CPU. The B940 has a better integrated GPU but overall the i3 is a faster processor.
