IF I HAD to choose between them I would take the i3 too.

But your much better off shopping online as you will get much more for your hard earned money.

In that price range my pick would be,

The first one has better processor and because of it would be the clear winner for me

If you dont have to be buying from Argos then Saveonlaptops.uk would the be
the best place to buy from

Thanks for the replies, you have put my mind at ease, was curious as to why the 2nd one

Intel Pentium dual core B940 processor.
    2GHz processor speed.

    was dearer than the 1st

Intel Core i3 dual core 370M.
    2.4GHz processor speed.

The reason I am opting to buy from Argos is that I get a further 10% discount (mother works in Homebase, entitled to staff discount).

    Thanks again for the assistance.

The B940 is a newer CPU (Sandy Bridge). That i3 is an older Clarkdale CPU. The B940 has a better integrated GPU but overall the i3 is a faster processor.
