    Hi all,
Looking for some info in what benefit I may be eligible for as I have no idea where to start.

    Bit of background:

Have always worked since leaving college nearly 14 yRs ago.

Was working a rolling contract since 09 up to may of this year when I had my son, contract finished and I claimed maternity benefit.
Now that's coming to an end and there is no sign if another job on the horizon.
I live with my partner and our son. Partner pays mostly everything in the house but I was covering my own loan and shopping food with my mat benefit.

So my question is would I be eligible for any type of welfare payment until I can sort myself out with a regular income again? Being that technically I wasn't made redundant from a perm job, my contract just wasn't renewed?

Thanks in advance for any info. :)

You are probably entitled to jobseekers allowance/benefit.if your partner is working he might be entitled to FIS.You should call into your local DSP office.
