2000 vw golf under bonnet diagram

    Hi All


    I am looknig for a diagram of the parts under a vw golf bonnet i have a ticking noise coming from a black round part with a cable coming from the top of it and also has a tube that runs to the fan ?????.its on the left of the engine rite below the coolant tank

    Please help as cant sort the problem if i dont know the part

    Nothing to worry about its the fuel vapour trap and pump. It ticked in mine from day one but it switches on and off, usually at idle..

    its has an electric connection on the top of it

    the part thats ticking is the black part with the cable on the top of it below the letter c sorry for not giving more info

    is it a fuse or this is just normal for it to be ticking?

    It's the fuel vapor canister.

    Like the others have said, it's perfectly normal, when it's at idle you can hear randomly start/stop ticking of it's on accord without touching anything. It's odd alright and like Yourself I was kind of worried at the start but thought nothing of it and after a quick google my mind was put at ease. :)
