Whats your thoughts on this? Seems like a whole lot of car for that price... a lot of 08 Mondeos are more expensive than that.

Is there anything I should be wary of before going to look at this car?

Also when a car is traded into a garage is there any way of contacting the previous registered owner, covertly obviously....???

It's a 1.6 petrol, base model (although does have the plus pack) Insignia. Susan Boyle is a more attractive proposition than that motor.

Thankfully, I've never driven a 1.6 Insignia, and I hopefully never will. Only feedback I've had on them was from a guy who I work with who got one as a hire car. He was less than complementary.

I drove a 1.6 insignia for half an hour once. It was a long half hour...

It really boils down to what the OP wants from the car. If it's main use is going to be doing short trips around town with a rare trip on the motorway then maybe power or fuel economy is not the most important thing. Considering it is an unfashionable small capacity petrol mid size family car then it can make alot of sense and for those reasons you could do alot worse than buy an almost 3 year old example for around €12k. The cheapest 09 diesel Insignia on carzone is €3k more. That €3k savings will buy you alot of fuel.
