How much do your average nightclub staff make?

Definitely the wrong forum for this, but have no idea where to put it, so...

I was just wondering if anyone on here works in a nightclub, or knows someone who does, or has, and would know about this?

Pretty much, I'm looking to find out what clubs pay to their staff (I assume glass collectors/bar staff, etc. are on the same pay?, with only the bouncers possibly getting a bit more money due to the danger associated with their job? and I can't really think of what other staff positions are in a nightclub).

I'm not talking about finding money on the floor, or someone tipping, or anything like that, just trying to figure out, on average, what clubs actually pay staff (who works after midnight, in AM hours).

I know a person working in a club, but i don't really want to start asking people i know how much exactly they're making.

    Cheers.

Surely it'd be more than minimum wage, no? Especially considering the late/early hours?

Do they (owners) generally allow that though, or is it just something you do behind the owners back?

Trying to find out the "official" average wage, I suppose (minus any benefits of working in such a place that aren't handed down by management).

It really depends on the venue. The last place I worked in was getting €600 a week (about €14 per hour). Now I get minimum wage and I usually only get 4 hours a night. It's the same for most of the staff here. Security would be from €16 to €20 an hour.

I got 10 euro an hr as bar staff, but I think some of the others were on 12 euro an hr (I started off as waitress so was on a diff contract)

Well if that's the attitude you have when you go to a pub/club, then they probably deserve the money.

Licenced security staff in Cork get between €12-16 p/h depending on experience and the venue.
