RIAT best day to attend.

hi all i have a query about riat 2012. I know a few lads on here attend every year i always enjoy the pics westdub posts after the trip. anyway i was on the website looking at booking tickets and beforei go for a weekend ticket i was wondering is a day enough to see everything at the event or would you need the weekend to take in the air show and another day to take in the ground displays. any advice would be appreciated.

I would go for the weekend ticket as it gives you the chance to get everything in without rushing around , the static display can take a good couple of hours to get around alone, and if your going to try and get some photographs its best to wait for the flying to end as the crowds thin out at that stage giving you some room for shots.

Another good reason to get the two day ticket is the weather, If you pick one day to go and the weather is bad at least you have the other day to look forward to, Also dont forget about the arrivals days before the show when you get the chance to see aircraft arriving that wont be flying during the show and also the display aircraft practicing .

i had been thinking the same thing about the static displays and aerial displays as regards photography, they are good points you make the arrivals day had been completely lost on me thank you. good advice.

The Departures day is also good, as almost all participating aircraft leave in the period between 8 a.m. and early afternoon.
