Volume control on a non apple-keyboard

I am using an USB keyboard of the non Apple variety. Is there anyway I can bind or replicate the volume control feature of the Mac keyboards to buttons on a standard USB keyboard? I've downloaded an app which lets me bind my function keys to my applications if that helps. Thanks
