    Lads,I bought an optical cable to link my ps3 to samsung 42 " which in turn is connected to my sound system via scart.What adjustments do I need to make to sound settings on ps3 for optimal performance?
    I have an existing hd lead between ps3 and tv.

    if you have HDMI from PS3 to TV that's the best to bring audio to it.. The optical cable won't make it any better..

    If you're taking audio from the TV to the sound system via SCART then your TV is reducing the audio to Stereo. This will cause some minute delays between sound and video as well as reducing the overall experience

    There is no input you can improve on the TV to improve your output over SCART.

    Can you plug the optical cable from the PS3 to the sound system? Or some TVs have optical out these days - that would be good too..
