Is it rough enough terrain? Electric spreader or wheel driven?

parts would be flat as a table but there are a few hilly fields also.
dont have a spreader or quad yet but on the lookout for one & just looking for a bit of advice

if you're going to be on hilly ground as well i would suggest going with something bigger, honda 500 or similar.

at least then when pulling a spreader with a good weight of fert in it over your rougher ground the quad will be well capable of it.

300cc would be bit small if you're going to be doing any sort of towing with it.

    hope that helps :)

Are you thinking of a spreader like this:

I have a 300 Kingquad myself and its a great bike for pulling, as its semi automatic and has a low and super-low range, as well as a locking front diff.

However 300cc is regarded as quite a small quad now a days, but I would be of the opinion that having, 4wd and good mud terrain tyres are more important than a big engine and loads of power.

If the spreader is driven from the wheels, I would imagine you will need to get up to a reasonable speed to get it to spread properly, and thats where power is required, so I'd say a 300cc bike could be a bit on the low side, but all depends on spreader size really

My bike is used for towing a trailer for moving stuff around the farm and it gets used for shunting old and broken down cars around the yard. Also for pulling trailers of turf off the turf bank out to the road,

All pushing and pulling work really, I always have it in the low range anyway! :D
