I came across this on the Vico road Killiney the other day, I hope the council take note.

If the wind caught it when empty or a dog knocked it over it could cause a head on with an uncoming car. I hope the council take note and make them move it to somewhere safer.

I know in the UK they would be fined for such.

    Astonishing.

Wheelie bin parked on double yellow line.

And to be honest it might be gone soon after some truck or bus will catch it on the bend.

May not be a council problem, it could be any of the below :
    1. Owner placed it out in said position
    2. bin collection company colledted it and dumped it back there (could be council or private)

thats a model for being caught by the back axle of any truck passing by, they wont be putting it back out then.....

We also have them laws. But like most Irish laws where it takes work to get a result they are ignored.

I don't suppose you took the civic initiative and reported it to the authorities (Gardaí then council) yourself rather than hope that some council employee in an office kms away somehow becomes aware of it?

Doubt the boys in blue would be racing to the seen to apprehend this wheelie bin in fairness. And the council, well they probably left immediately to see to this... and got there about 2 hours later. Maybe the council lads hit the guards coming the other way even.

Its a good pic, but not worth the hassle arguing over who did or didnt do what.
