I have an outdooor Firebird Fire Pac unit with a Riello G5X Burner.

Has posted in an early thread I cleaned filter to try and get it start.

And yes the burner sparked and fired up. But soon noticed that the Rads were not heating up despite boiler running.

I turned it off and on again but it did not work.

Tried reset button and that seems be be not working at all now.

A few minutes ago I had a look inside. It seemed a bit warm. I twisted an outlet valve on the top and boiling hot water flew out  closed it again but worried about it. Why were rads not heating?

Have I ****ed it up? restart button wont work.

Only thing I observed that might be relevant, Steam was trying to come out of the circular join of the "chimney" flue and not the flue itself. I had looked in there earlier and it seemed fairly blocked up, but could not unscrew to clean out due to a nut being stuck on a bad rivet.

    HELP !

Stop using this CH system and get a professional in. Steam apearance is a sign that there is a severe risk of an explosion !

the steam was only up around exit flue.

Should I open the valve to let boiling water run out? or just leave it to cool down and get the service guy in?

It will cool down if not been used so I would suggest leaving well alone - From your explanation appears that your circulating pump needs replacing and if the flue is blocked you definately need to get that burner serviced

thank you. I will leave it alone. what i noticed inside the flue was a rust like substance built up. i'll leave it to the service guy.

Most likely the pump is shot or the propeller is jammed. the boiler is overheating as the water cannot be moved out of the heat exchanger and into the system. Easy fix but not overly cheap.

    agree with the boys here
most likely a pump or circulation issue
