15mm long bolts - safe for satellite dish installation?

    I got these bits and pieces with my zone 2 dish from satworld.

    Included are four short bolts (M8X16) for fixing the kit to the wall. This seems very short to me. Also, if I search for "satellite dish" and "bolts" most of the results are longer bolts with plugs, which is what I was expecting.

    Is it safe to use these short bolts, or should I make a trip to Woodies?

    You need something like 8mm dia x 60mm long coach bolts and plastic wall plugs to match, 10mm drill hole, 13mm spanner size, nothing less, realistically.

    Not long enough....

    I would actuially imagine that those bolts are for some part of the dish assembly, and not designed for fixing mounting bracket to wall....

    Personally, I've used the ones in the pic before (10mm - blue) and I can hang from the bar comfortably....... I'm not small...... :D

    As Excollier rightly stated you need 40-60mm coach bolts with sleeves ,ridiculous that they didnt come with the dish .

    Thanks guys.

    It would also have helped if they had provided instructions showing where each piece goes. That would have made it cleared in the first place. Disappointing.
