    No,
I order nearly all my CD's, DVD's and Blu-rays from play and never had a problem, although i don't think they deliver electrical items over to Ireland

Didnt have the same problem as cookingmama, however I ordered a box set off them about 2 weeks ago. Wasnt there today when my post was delievering it so got an post slip today to say I have to collect it and that owed nearly 29e custom charges :( for some reason.

Anyone know the reason for the customs charges?

Play is one of a number of english companies that actually ship from Jersey, which is outside the EU.
As you haven't paid the Irish/EU vat and taxes, packages over approx €22 may be stopped by customs and charged for.
