Stoke haven't been performing so far this season but have a poorly managed Blackburn at home today.

I'd love a Blackburn win but Stoke have a good record against Rovers and I can see them scoring at least 3 with the way Kean has Blackburn setup defensively.

Anyone know a good stream to watch this?

First Row Sports usually have good streams available for any match

    http://www.firstrowsports.tv/watch/94403/1/watch-stoke-city-vs-blackburn-rovers.html

I will be an interesting match, Yakubu is playing very well so if Stokes defensive problems arent sorted we should be in for a good few goals from both sides.

Samba, Nelsen and Olsson are all injured, The defense is going to cost Blackburn today, but there is no other card Kean could play.

Henley is the only defender on the bench, so hopefully no more injuries in defense please!

Hoilett is not at his best, especially without Olsson to help him out, he was dropping deeper and deeper against Wigan to try get into the game without Olsson bombing forward for him.

Rochina was poor against Wigan so looking for more from him today!

Really up against it today but with the same effort of late Blackburn might struggle to a point.

Was hoping to get up early and watch in local. Too late now, would say there's no seats left.

Games like this, between one team who can't defend and another who are struggling to defend, can be alot more exciting than your boring top of the table ties.

Blackburn's last two games have ended 3-3. They beat Arsenal 4-3 earlier in the season. Piss poor under the current management they may be but you cannot say that they aren't exciting to watch, for all the wrong reasons of course.

There have been ten goals in Stoke's last two games. This one could be a great game.

i'm gonna fancy stoke to win today and win comfortably maybe 3-0. Blackburn were blessed last week against a poor wigan team.

ALso stoke are a different side when they dont have europa league midweek.

Tiny example draw with united with no europa league, battered by bolton with europa league

Why on earth they put these sort of games on TV I will never understand. If you absolutely HAVE to put these sort of teams on TV (and I suppose you do) don't bleedin put them on against each other. Shocking stuff here.

its nice to see teams from the lower half of the table as well...the premier league doesn't revolve around the top teams.

This has nothing to do with their position in the league. Blackburn v Bolton, not a blockbuster but watchable. Stoke v Wigan, watchable. Stoke v Blackburn = absolute dross. Sticking the 2 worst teams to watch in the league against each other on TV is insane.

As for the lad who asked who else, all the Saturday 3 o clock games are more appealing than this dross.

Also this statement is more wishful thinking than based on any sort of reality.

Not a game for the neutrals, but nice to see a couple of Irish players playing.

Ever thought sky had no option? I assume the police have the match set for early kick off. So sky use the opportunity to show both. Turn it off if dont want to watch.

This isn't a derby, nor close to it. The police wouldn't bother doing that. That only happens for derbies. And I shouldn't have to turn it off, I'm paying for this muck. You're not really making any points here.

I'd bet there is quotas for showing live matches of all the clubs in the packages that they've bought. Write a strongly worded letter of complaint to Sky if you are not happy with their service!

Yup each team must be shown a minimum number of times a year as there is a bonus for being shown on TV.(500,000 or something like that)

How are Blackburn terrible to watch? Their last two games were 3-3 draws. They last time they were on TV it was against Arsenal in a 4-3 thriller.

As I said above, Stoke's last two games have involved ten goals.

Pull your head out of your arse and stop listening to what the likes of Mourinho and Wenger peddle out time and time again when beaten by these teams.

Both have decent players who can get the ball down and play football - Hoilett, Yakubu, Formica, Pedersen, Etherington, Crouch, Pennant and Walters to name but a few.

I remember hearing of trouble between some of the fans last year. Couldhave an effect. Millions others paying too without moaning bout it.

No one is forcing you to pay it. Cancel your Sky contract.

Kean out of his depth, 3-0

    3-0

Even though it's only early in the season, it's impossible to see Blackburn staying up.

Feel sympathy for the loyal fans, knowing he won't be sacked in the near future.

It's a total farce. He should walk away himself.

Walters looking sharp, gonna be a great asset for the Irish team in the long term

Just looking at Blackburn's Summer signings, never realised that they spent so much money.

He's actually 28, so he might not be around for very long.

He is just one of those managers you know hasn't got it. He doesnt have the look of a manager about him. You see these fellas crop up every now and again (Les Reed, Sammy Lee, Steve Wigley, Ricky Sbragia) and you almost feel sorry for them, but they have no business managing a premier league team.

You can have the best ideas in the world, all your stats people in place, the works but if you don't have credibility or presence about you then you are screwed as its the players who win games for you. If you cannot enforce your ideas on them and make them play for you then all the theory in the world is no good to ya.

Whats the official line used by the owners? why is Keen still in the job? Its not as if he has pedigree where they are waiting it out for him to return to success he may have had before?

They will be relegated if they keep up this lark.

Can't wait for Kean's interview. I always enjoy the nonsense he comes out with as if anyone is going to believe him. He's like a government leader on his last legs who refuses to face the inevitable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,798 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

Few people shouting at Kean. Poor guy, way out of depth. But if thats who the owners want then they must live with it.
