SKY door to door sales pitch

    Hows everyone!
Just wanting to see if anyone else had any experiences with Sky door to door sales reps recently? He told me that Sky HD was going to be free of charge to all customers from early next year and that there would be a "shot of channels" being added to the HD listings. Naturally I asked which ones but he would/could not tell me. Noting on Sky website to back this, no joy when I rang either. In fact, Cust Care were rather evasive on the matter.

I realise that this isn't strictly the correct forum (I'll get my apology in first mods!), he also mentioned that Sky will be providing a Broadband service next year also. When I enquired about speeds, limits etc he didn't have a clue. He rang some other lad and I was told "It'd be at least as fast as everyone else." No other specifics. Anyone else given this pitch? (In Cork city btw)

Probably works for Delta Digital who are based in Cork and do door to door sales.
They are always advertising for staff which isn't a great sign.

I had these clients I reckon down in North Cork a few weeks ago telling me to cancel my contract,to get my wife to buy a new contract and he could get me this, this and this! It was too good to be true IMO so I said no thanks but a dodgy character I thought!

A guy called to Me on Friday night with the same sales pitch.

Said he'd do the HD offer, and Multiroom with free rental for 12 months, all for €79 up-front.

He didn't say anything about wanting the money there and then...He wouldn't have got it anyway..

He said they have an office up in the the Airport Business Park...And I could pay it there, and sign up...

I got his card/number,and said I'd think about it over the weekend, and let him know Monday..

It was only afterwards I realised he's offered the multiroom,,which I can't take as I don't have a phone line.

    Too good to be true???
