Hello all, well this morning my house mate has come home and her car is after being towed away. She was down to get her car at 8am somewhere close by where the saturday market sets up in town. Now when she arrived at 8 the tow guy was in the process of hitching the car up. She knows now that the free parking ends at 6am on weekends but the sign with this information had a sticker over the 6am so she could not see the time. I was just wondering if she took photos of the sign covered up would it help her in getting the money back. Its right before christmas and shes only on BTEA and doing a course miles outside the city so she really needs her car. She pleaded with the guy as the car wasn't even on the truck when she went to get it but he wouldn't budge. Does anyone have any ieas on what she could do?

Doubt an appeal would work. Other signs presumably im area could have been checked. Her duty to check before leaving car. Hard luck though.

Its not unfair. I had mine towed there also. Its a private contractor and he gets the call out...he would have not got paid had he released the car there and then.

She can pay the fine and challenge it in court.
