I stupidly reversed into a parked bmw and left a nice dent in the rear bumper (driver side). I have left my details on the windscreen (happened last night) and I'm awaiting the dreaded call. Has anyone any idea how much this will cost to repair?
It appears it has a sensor built in for parking..... might be a good investment for myself in future...........

Depending on what the owner wants, anything from 150 for a repair, right up to 1000 to replace the bumper, respray the unpainted one that BMW supply, fit it and potentially replace the sensor too. It's difficult to guesstimate without photos, but the owner will be the deciding factor.

Fair play to you for leaving your details though, no one does it anymore. On the strength of that good deed alone, I hope Karma plays nice with you and the bill is small.

never know, might owner wouldn see that damage, and will think, your note on windscreen as spam :) and will throw away.
i had an accident couple years ago ... i bumped one car(07 renault) in traffic. on my car damage were quiet noticeable ... renault had just few inches mark on rear bumper.... that guy were descent... he said, wont rip me off.. wont call insurance , if ll pay for that bumper ... anyway we took each other details, ... and i never heard from him or from my insurance company.

Heard from the owner. It's a company car so not sure if that might work in my favour. Just waiting to hear back with a price. Thanked me for leaving my contact details so hoping that might work in my favour. Of all the cars I could have reversed into........
