350-400 for the rifle. For the scope you could pay as little as 80 euro or go right up to a couple of hundred, depends on what your after really.

Oh and don't forget your gonna have to join a club and get insurance.... and that all costs too.

Nearly forgot, you have to pay your licence fee aswell on top of all that. THats another 80 euro.

Oh and don't forget your gonna have to join a club.

Not necessarily, written permissions from landowners will suffice, you don't need both.

True but your better of joining a club more land to shoot over plus the lads will show you the ropes and its well worth having insurance

That's very true but I was just going on getting the license. It's not essential but worth getting same goes for insurance too.

There are plenty of .22's for sale around for country for great money. .22s can have thousands of rounds gone through them and still e in great nic.
ring around and you'll get a great deal.

I'm just curious - what's the mad rush to "get d gun"? For what purpose would you require the .22? Target / Hunting?

Your best bet would be to first call to a few ranges and arrange to meet the CRO who will best advise you on what's available and maybe allow you to use (under owner supervision) some of the lads/girls gear to see if it suits you or not.

Have you looked at the FCA1? Once you've handed in this project, it could take substantial time for your licence to be approved or then again you may have it in weeks.

ah lb aren't we all in a mad rush to get a new gun once we decide we want it!

Thats good advise tho op try a few and see what suits you and what you like. If you rush it and buy the first one that comes along you might regret it a few months down the line. Take your time and make the right decision first time round

ah i know i was the same but shooting takes time to get started with licence waitin time ect so spending a bit more time making good choices at the start is time well spent in my book
