Looking for websites for long term rental in Alicante City centre area. Is there a Spanish equivalent of daft.ie? Finding it hard to get stuff on it.

I dont know if you are going to Spain to learn Spanish in a language centre, to study or just for a break for a few months.

If you are learning Spanish through a language school it is likely that the school will fix up your accommodation, but it is likely that it will be with another learner.

If you are attending university in Alicante the same could happen.

If you visit is for a break with an option for further travel then a private arrangement with an Irish apartment/duplex/house owner could be your best bet. Accommodation in the off season is inexpensive and if it is only a bed-sit or one bedroom studio you're after then you would pay around €80 per week + utilities (electricity, water, refuse).

I point out the foregoing because rentals arranged privately are far cheaper than going through an agent. The agent will want his cut along with a signed contract, deposit, rental in advance, cleaning money etc.

It might be wise to stay outside of the city centre where accommodation is cheaper. If you want more info please ask here or PM me.

Cheers, I'll be going to the University. There is the option of the University sorting it but I was just hoping to have a look around myself first.

Just wanted an idea of some websites where places are advertised. A lot of ones I find are for just short-term holiday stuff.

Here are a couple of websites to check out prices and look at some pictures. Idealista has a lot of agency and some private ads, Loquo has a better mix but loads of scammers so be wary of "too good to be true" ads.
