UPC and HDD / DVD Recorder

    Hi,

    I've gotten a Sony HDD/DVD Recorder (Sony RDR-HXD870) and I'm wondering if I can get it either to link with my UPC DVR+ box (which I guess isn't possible) or even just to be able to watch TV through it when the UPC box is off.

    I have connected them as follows:

    Wall--Co-axial->UPC Box--Scart & co-axial->HDD/DVR--Scart & co-axial->TV

    I can't get any signal on the HDD/DVR box and wonder if I set it up right that at least I might be able to get the cable channels through it. I see two options in the manual referring to Freeview and Guide+.

    Can any of it work?

    Thanks
