Was having a quick browse on donedeal and came across this, had to post this if only for the laugh! I know he states the mileage on the car and engine are different but why wind it back?! and why believe him:rolleyes: The picture is clearly taken with the cluster taken apart, even the speedo needle is hanging on the other side :P

Maybe the clocks came from the car that the engine came from?

Also, if it has a new engine, who cares what the mileage is?

I'd be tempted to call him and just laugh down the phone.

What a pile of junk, a 98 civic with 180bhp? Total death trap, id steer well clear of that one.

What's wrong with having 180hp in a civic?

Very true except if they were from the other car (It would be either an sir teg or an mb6 vti) they wouldn't need to be opened to adjust and they wouldn't fit that car anyway :pac: It's just funny that he actually took the picture of the odometer while it was taken apart really

I dont get it when people put 'Doesnt burn oil' like above or 'Car was never crashed'. Why put that into an ad?

That clocking ****e is becoming a bit of a problem by the looks of it now, When i sold my first car there about two years back to a polish lad, it had 152.000 miles on it, it appeared up on donedeal a month later with 96000 miles. Buyer Beware!

    Fcuking Retard!

Because all those engines burn oil, they're known for it. It'd be nice to find one that doesn't burn oil, but my spidey sense tell me they're lying.

    180bhp in an old 98 car,crazy.
I remember a young fella at work had one 9000 euro for insurance paying it weekly at 200 euro. He didnt have to pay it all though as he ended up parked up in the local graveyard.

If he was actually paying €9k for insurance then it wasn't the car's fault.

dont know whtjer to laugh or face palm?

heres another car from 1998 with more than 180bhp - http://consumerguideauto.howstuffworks.com/1995-to-1998-porsche-911.htm im sure thats a death trap too

    you'd swear 180bhp was a lot?
PS - this is the standard 1.8 engine from Honda, the 1.6 EK9 Type R had similar as standard and the DC2 ITR had 197 from the tweeked 1.8 engine, so 180 is kind de-tuned.
