Howdy all, Anyone loose or know of someone that lost a German Wire Haired pointer in the Ballinlack, Multifarham, Mullingar area lately?
I was stopped at the lights at the roadworks and spotted him lying by the side of the road. He came bolting over when I whistled.
I dunno if he's any good or gun shy (possibly why he was "lost", to late when I got home to see) but if anyone knows or hears anything, give me a shout here or I left my number with the Garda Barricks in Longford.
    JC :).

fair play for taking him in, might be worth a trip to a vet and see if he is chipped, could have been robbed from somewhere

It appears this fella is a dud. Someone covered the basics with him or he came from good lines and has been ruined. He is chipped and the vets are following it up. Anyone want him? I use labs and have no space for him. Jonathan.

I brought him down to an area that I used for reading birds and they return to feed, there was around 5 hens at the feeder and when I took the lead of him he turned and bolted back to my parents house. By the time I got there he was pinned to the back door and not any coaxing or encouragement would get him to follow me up to my own house. When I open the back door he nearly falls in he is pressed that tight to it. I don't know much about pointers (I'm a lab man) but that ain't normal
