    Hey guys,

I have a quick question. I have a hand drawn sketch here that I need to graphictise (not sure even if that is a word??) I need it to put the graphic as a logo into the beginning of a video so it will just appear for 3/4 seconds before actually video begins. Anyone knows how I can do this or even if there is any free software out there that enables me to do so?? Thanks all very much

Your best bet is to scan it in as an image (i.e: jpeg) and you can then use your video authoring tool to place it. Of course you'll need a scanner to do this, you'll likely have a relative or someone with out, if not a print shop should sort you out :)

If you have access to Adobe Illustrator it has a tracing option that could turn the scan into a vector graphic which would allow for scaling. The free program Inkscape can do the same with a bitmap image (you can scan and save as bitmap). Here's a link to an example http://inkscape.org/doc/tracing/tutorial-tracing.html. A more simple design with clearly defined edges would return a better result of course.
