    ...Catholic Forum.

Don't get me wrong I have nothing against Catholics. They are probably the most devout and faithful Christians around. But this 'Christianity' forum has been taken over with strictly Catholic posts dealing strictly with Catholic subjects. Why can't there be a sub category just for everything strictly Catholic or just rename this forum the 'Catholic forum' and create a separate Christianity forum where subjects pertaining to the Christian faith in general can be discussed? Same goes for anything strictly Protestant or Anglican or Methodist or whatever. But due to the sheer number of Catholics that post here I think its only fair that they should get their own sub-forum and everything else get lumped into the Christianity main forum. I know this is not going to happen but I thought I'd say it anyway.

This is probably due to Ireland being dominantly a Catholic country. But a lot of the topics here on the forum go one way this week, and then topics move in another direction another week. It's not our fault that our Protestant brethren have no topics to create or nothing to say.

First time I've seen this suggested from the non-Catholic side of the house so to speak!I think there're used to be a lot more posters from Protestant backgrounds but that has fallen off sadly.I'd be for keeping the forum as one and as diverse as possible.

The risk is that there won't be an interest big enough to have a protestant forum, if there was to be a separate catholic forum. At least that's what I think...

... But at the same time, I tend to agree with you, OP. From time to time I feel there's no room from protestant values in this forum. That could very well be down to the fact that there aren't so many protestants around - which, of course, leads me back to my first conclusion that two Christianity forums wouldn't really work ;)

Just looked at the first few pages and I have to say I didn't realise how top-heavy with very specifically Catholic subjects the forum had become.I think the best solution would be for non-Catholics to get more involved-I for one would be interested to see more topics of interest to Christians at large.Only we,the users, can change that.

It's hard, though. Say for instance, those "sensitive topics" (like abortions, homosexuality, priests getting married etc.) where protestants would have a slightly different outlook - you'd get told off straight away as if you're a bad Christian. At least that's how I've felt from time to time ;)

Of course we all have different views on things and that's fine too, but it would be good to get respected and thought of as a fellow Christian still...
