    This is normal people REMAIN CALM THE SNOW WILL COME!!! The past few years early season snow, low temps and high investment in snow cannons has started the season earlier.

    But thing back to last year it dumped snow from Nov to December and then stopped till March!

    Relax unless you are booked for Christmas!! Now it is time to panic

    Off to Selva Gardena, there are starting to make the snow but it would be a miracle if the sella ronda is open...so disappointing for our first trip to the dolomites

    Why are you going so early in the season, is the resort even open ?

    The resort usually opens 1st week of December, planned opening in 2011 is 3rd December...lets see what happens

    Going so early as this was originally a summer holiday week that kept getting postponed....had to take the time off before the year ran out for work reasons. It was either take a risk on skiing or stay at home. Who knew the winter would be so shockingly mild :(

    As for the ski sure glacier option, went end of October to Hintertux for a long weekend. A few days of drag lifts is all I can manage...a week would be horrific

    Ohh lovely! We drove there this year on our (late) summer holidays. The dolomites look fabulous - would love to ski there sometime! Where you flying into? Will keep my fingers crossed for snow!

    We got cheapo flights to Milan Bergamo, its not the nearest airport in the world but there's a good value transfer with Terravision

    Pity there are no commercial flights to Innsbruck - it would make skiing everywhere a lot easier!
