UPC urgent help

I have UPC tv and it's gone mad some stations work fine some say my cable is not inserted right and some are skipping making mad noise. I called UPC who tried to fix over the phone to no avail but can't get anyone out till next week as I be working and won't be here . I have checked cable turned on/off even tried channel…

Am outta of ideas driving me crazy but when I record something it comes out perfect ??!!any ideas anyone or has it happened to anyone else ?thanks
