I want to get it for my niece but there is junior and the standard game. She is 8 and i kind of want to get her the standard game because it will last her longer plus the adults will get use of it.

So sick of kids getting presents that they are bored of within 2 days

It's been a while since i played it so what does everyone think? Too hard for her?

Also, anyone what would be the cheapest price around? I haven't ventured into the toy shops yet

I've played monopoly since I was 7! Perfect present for a kid that will stand the test of time :D There is a variety of standard monopoly out at the mo, all with different features. The good aul one that we all played is going for around 16 euro in tesco and smyths. The one I have is the celtic tiger ireland version where everything is priced in millions and instead of paper money, the players use these atm cards with a reader that remembers their balance. It's novel but not the same.... Plus it costs almost double the standard version. And needs batteries!

whoa, sounds way too complicated and fancy :pac:. Will get the standard one so! I used to love playing Monopoly! Finally a game she won't have to guilt me into playing with her :D

    Thanks!

We have both junior and standard game and we get more fun from the junior. The standard gets a bit complicated for kids which makes it less fun for the adults who have to referee more. Also the junior game is quicker usually finishes in 30/45 min whereas the standard can go on and on and on!!
