Just realised the battery on my macbook pro is extremely swollen. Was wondering why it was so wobbly on the table. I've had this laptop since early 1998. Anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried?

Early 1998 ? Wouldn't that be a PowerBook then ? MacBook and MacBook Pros were the names used for Intel based machines which didn't arrive till well into the 21st Century !! . . . well . . . 4 or 5 years into it !!

I tend to get confused myself sometimes too :) My MBP is from 2006 and had a battery that was recalled by Apple due to them having a tendency to . . . well . . explode ?! Maybe your battery is part of that program ? Might be worth checking it ?

Thanks. I checked that out but apparently that was stopped in 2007. Think I'll call apple anyway. Won't do any harm but I think I'll be looking at buying a new one. Could do without the expense right now though :)
