What type of food are you looking for? There are a few good places around the town. Chinese in the market square is very good (golden city), there is also an Indian just up the road from it that is excellent (anar kali).

The Galo Chargrill is nice, good food, not too expensive. The Alamo in the Riverside Park Hotel is nice too, but I'm not sure what its opening hours are like nowadays. I've also heard many good things about Mick Wallace's restaurant by Burgermacs/Xtravision, but not dined there myself.

If you're not looking for something so formal, Denis's on Castle Hill do amazing fast foody stuff, pizzas, kebabs, burgers etc, but seriously, soooo good and cheap *drool* Damn, they're closed at this time -.-

Personally I think Enoteca D'alba is very good, and reasonably priced.

I wouldn't go near "The Alamo" - very poor in my experience but then again I have been avoiding it for years now. :D

Both are good. Via Veneto is Italian. The Moorings is more traditional cuisine, but at a very high standard. Also, +1 for Galo Chargrill.
