I see some genius in the council has decided that new pedestrian traffic lights are needed just off the roundabouts at donaghmeade & clarehall so that traffic can cause even more congestion on the roundabouts when the lights go red. They did this at both darndale & artane and it causes chaos. Do these muppets not think things out and maybe even look at what theyve done before to see how crazy it is and whst happens in reality

It's to allow pedestrians to cross the road to get to the bus stop & shop.

people have to cross the road at some point, its why these are needed.
Also, im sure many locals were complaining to their concillor in order to get these onto the 2011 agenda to be built. If the locals want them and it aids in their safety, then they will be well received.

Ive no problem with lights or people crossing the road but their location so close to the roundabout for traffic will cause back ups and bigger traffic problemsbecause cars will back up onto the roundabouts as happens at darndale & artane regularly
